Do you enjoy crafting for others?

Something that has helped me immensely as a crocheter has been making things for those I love.  It can be so overwhelming when digging into a new skill set so some focus really helped me!  My life has been filled with babies!  It seems as if nearly everyone I know is having or has had a beautiful baby.  It’s really so fun to dig through patterns to find that baby blanket that’s just right for that special little one.

My brother and sister in law just had their second child, first son, and he is just the cutest little guy!  I finished the blanket for him just in time, like days before he was born.  Life is really such a miracle.  I had the honor and privelage of watching him be born.  It was so amazing and my sister in law is one tough cookie!

There’s just something so, almost meditative, about crocheting.  Each stitch is filled with love for the one you are making it for.  Without further ado, here is my Gingham Baby Blanket.

Thanks girls. Melissa, I followed a pattern, if you click on the first two pictures it will take you to the pattern I used. I love crocheting and I’ve just been picking it up slowly over the past year or so.
