Rainy days

I love rainy weather. Love it. And it’s a good thing as Western Washington has more than it’s fair share of them. There’s just something so cozy and domesticating about the rain. I automatically want to bake something yummy, cuddle my children, do a little crafting… Our yard has been so dry and brown that I can almost hear the sigh of relief. Sometimes, I even like to take rainy walks. It’s just cleansing and refreshing. I’m afraid that if I were to move to a particularly dry climate, I would wither away without all this wet.

You are such your mother’s daughter…I just told someone today that I actually heard my lawn sigh with relief when the rain came. I had my windows opened last night so that I could smell it! ;0)
